Very subtle flavor

I ordered the Rose Earl Grey teadrops and found the tea was good and strong while the Earl Grey flavor was almost too subtle. I did like the hint of sweetness that came from the cane sugar. I had anticipated some sediment at the bottom of my cup, but my last sip was really gritty. To enjoy my next cup I will have to put the teadrop in a tea bag. The idea is to do away with the teabag. I can compost a paper teabag, but the teadrops come in a plastic wrap which is not compostable, so environmentally it’s not an acceptable exchange for me.

Thank you for your review. We just wanted to take the time to respond about the sediment and the packaging of the tea.

We have had several customers that have stated that they have greatly reduced their sediment by putting the tea in a tea infuser, adding more water, or even using it in a reusable k-cup in their Keurig machine. All great suggestions to help reduce waste which is important to the makers of this tea (Tea Drops) and minimize the tea sediment in your cup.

As far as the packaging is concerned, the package is actually recyclable. It is labeled on the back of each package. While compostable packaging is ideal, we hope you will find some comfort in Tea Drops' effort to be more environmentally friendly with their products.
